Hello Holidays

Its finally that time of year when I'm allowed to act like a child and put all of my energy into making my house feel like Santa just vomited all over it.
This year is my first Christmas away from my family in my own home so I've been really excited to put my own stamp on the style of decorating. Me and my partner are both into shabby chic homeware so it was only natural that would spill into our Christmas decs too.
Although I am a massive fan of real Christmas trees, my mums always put me off saying they're messy and difficult to find the correct time to buy them without the looking a bit sad by Christmas. (let me know if she's lying)  So myself and Tim have stuck with our old faithful (the Christmas tree we bought for his flat last year.) I'm not complaining mind, its a really lovely tree and who knows maybe one day I'll go all out and get a real tree!
We finished it off with some old baubles from last year and some new additions too. I've started a tradition that we buy a bauble for every year we're together so by the time we're really old we'll have the most magnificent tree known to man, or at least that's the plan.
obviously a tree is never enough when it comes to getting into the festive spirit, so my mum went out and got us some vintage inspired candle holders. The reindeer glass candle holder is from BHS as is the little merry christmas sign. the bunting I made myself out of old Christmas cards which I might make a separate post about. And saving the best for last the red jar candle is from TKmaxx. It smells like candy canes and all things merry and beautiful I would recommend any Christmas lover or candle lover in fact to buy this scent. it's so lovely!

Banksys new harness is from tkmaxx and I absolutely love it, its usually quite difficult to find a harness that fits him, but this fit perfectly and it only cost £6.99. It's made from a soft velvet material and makes him look very dapper. The little red bow ties in with the season. I honestly would have spent so much more on this so it was an absolute steal!

Our stockings were from B&M and cost £1.99 each! however I know I saw some similar in tkmaxx which might be of better quality

I hope this post gave you some inspiration if you haven't yet decorated. If you see anything you like and I haven't mentioned where it's from leave a comment below and i'll get back to you.

Happy Holidays!
